About

Dominic Graham

Ward Councillor (Mile End – Colchester Borough Council)
Community Councillor (Myland Community Council)

Originally from the North East, Dominic studied law at the University of Central Lancashire. After qualifying as a solicitor he worked in London before moving to Colchester. Dominic currently works for a law firm based in North Essex, specialising in medical negligence.

Dominic has represented Mile End on Colchester Borough Council since 2014.

Having commuted from Colchester to London for more than two years, Dominic is painfully aware of the regular difficulties facing a huge number of railway passengers week in, week out.   Dominic has asked government for a Recall Clause to be introduced to the new railway franchises, which would allow the government to cancel a poorly performing franchise, and has more recently campaigned for flexible season tickets so that train fares are more affordable for part-time workers or those working less than 5 days per week.

Dominic fully supports, and has been part of, cross-party efforts to improve the A120 between Colchester and Braintree. Dualling the A120 is essential to unlocking the potential of Colchester & the rest of North Essex.

Dominic is passionate about the environment and is especially proud of Colchester Borough Councils  record on reducing carbon emissions and also waste minimisation – Colchester sends the least amount of black bag waste to landfill compared to the rest of Essex.
